Vendonara is a lieutenant of the Keres who is rewarded by Lucifera for her passionate battlefield past times in Greece and Rome. The Keres played a leading role in Homer’s The Iliad. As described, they begin their attack with a blood curdling scream heard only by the warriors chosen to die violently on the battlefield. They are also soul-rippers one and all, meaning they exorcise and link the dying soul to themselves for long-term consumption and a way to re-enter this realm, many having legions of lost souls bound for feeding purposes. It was rumored that the Olympian gods would have to protect the heroes whom they favored from being devoured by the keres. The Ker are invincible simply because they can trade a soul for favors when needed. They also controlled heroes on the battlefield and protected those they favored.
