Edaka is an elder Cohort Queen of Kali. As such, she is a guardian of darkness represented as Shyama-Kali, “the Black One,” Karali, “the Terrible,” and of course, “Raksha-Kali,” the Guardian Kali, a role she plays to the hilt for any companion lucky enough to have her by their side.
